it's DEFINITELY not the same.. sorry to say it, but it's getting a bit boring without him.. i don't like this whole 'going back to the first season' thingie..

Right? I know some people weren't a fan of the whole angels sub-arc that happened, but that's basically the entire reason I started watching the show. And I did love seasons one and two and three because there was a lot of good in them, but to have something like seasons four and five and then regress to season-one like episodes doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

On the plus side I guess it makes it hurt less because I don't have to think about the fact that Cas isn't there every episode, because the brothers did their shit without him for so long.
But I really really miss having larger plot arcs because I...can't figure out where this seasons is going yet.

how can ANYONE not like the angels plot? i mean there were demons, ghosts, fairies or dwarfs or whatever, but when it comes to angels, it's 'GOD NO! angels? wtf??' o.o

i know that maybe now after defeating lucifer, they might not have much story to go on, but the leviathans are out there and sam and dean are hunting ghosts.. what the hell? besides, they could also explore what is going on with the angels right now, since they have no leader.. cause you know, it's funny how when cas was the angels' leader, he always said there was war up there, but we never saw anything and i think it would've made a great story, but no.. let's.. let's just have the burning dead people's bones plot over and over again.

I don't know...some hardcore Wincesters were pissed by characters coming between the brothers, I think? I never really stayed to chat with anyone who thought that, 'cause I knew we'd just end up arguing, haha.

Frankly, if they had no plot, then END THE SHOW. I mean, JKR didn't write more HP books after the final battle because...the story was over, you know? I don't know why TV shows can't seem to do that.
That said, I love the show and NEW SAM AND DEAN EACH WEEK SQUEE sooo. :P It would have been great it we'd seen more of Cas' side of the story and the brothers had actually gotten a chance to help him for once, but noooo. Who needs angels when you can...hunt monsters and shit.
I mean, it's obvious from what they did during seasons four and five that they can keep the arcs balanced out with the MOTW episodes, so they could STILL do the monster/Leviathan hunting but also have something larger going on, you know?

i'm not really sure how i like more for things to end.. i mean with hp, i'm dying to see another sequel, and another and so on until i get bored.. with everything else is still the same, i know it's weird, but i'd rather watch a show for as long as i like it, and not stop to watch it because there are no more episodes, cause i'd always want more.. i know, i'm weird ^^'
and yeah, cas only died a couple of times fighting their fight, being there for them even when there was war in heaven, but it's not like they owe him their lives..
and i know that they want to introduce some ghost/medium level monsters and not bosses in every episode, but it feels like the story has already been told, it's like 'hey a ghost, let's find the bones and burn them' 'hey a monster, let's call bobby and have him find out how they can be killed'.. i mean it's almost always the same thing.. like 'final destination', you know?

I think a lot of people would rather have it that way, to be honest; I'd just rather have things that end at their high point and then are done forever. Like, I love Supernatural and I will never stop watching it even if Sam does really get married next week and Dean, er. I don't know. Decides to settle down somewhere and get a job as a waiter. You kno what I mean?
lol, you don't owe someone your life just because they died for you. Where would you get that idea. XD
I think the MOTW episodes can be good and they give each individual episode good shape, but when Supernatural did it best was when they tied those in to the larger arcs, if you know what I mean? 'cause yeah, just the boys calling Bobby and burning bones every week will not keep this show alive. :|
But there have been some good episodes this season, too, so I don't know. I am kind of divided.

when spn will end, i'm just hoping the ending won't be something like them having wives and children, and stuff like that, cause that's just not supernatural.. i want for the last episode just the brothers in the impala, cas in the backseat, bobby calling them on the cellphones and telling them about some new monster thing in god knows which city. that way, i feel like even though it was the last episode, it wasn't really an 'ending', you know?
oh god, what was i thinking?? who in his right mind would think you owe someone anything if you save their lives? i must be insane..
i don't know about this season... per all, i'm not liking it, to be honest. i'm hoping it'll get better..

Ugh, yeah, that would be soooo wrong. I don't even want a happy ending, but I would be okay with something like that that leaves the story open. :)

There have been a couple episodes this season that I thought were really good, but as a whole I've not been overly impressed like I was with seasons 4 and 5. Or even 1, 2, and 3. XD But mostly 4 and 5.

no logic there at all.. i seriously don't get people who think that, what in heavens are they thinking? man, that's.. fucked up. just fucked up.

i have no idea which was my favorite season, but it's definitely one that involves cas. no doubt.
